Official sources onlyA great deal of what happens to a missing child was decided beforehand, in a budget line and in a statute. These sit beside the toolkit and are open to anyone. None of it is an accusation — it is arithmetic, from the government's own published numbers.

What this is, and what it refuses to do
It is not a database of missing children
And it never will be. Real cases belong with NCMEC and with law enforcement. A second, unofficial copy of a child's face helps nobody and can actively mislead a search.
It does not search on your behalf
It takes you to the official search, so what you find comes from the source. Knowing where each state's search lives, and how it is spelled, is most of the work.
It makes no prediction about any person
There is no score, no risk rating and no inference about an individual anywhere in this toolkit. Public records show what was filed — not what is true.
Nothing is ever behind a payment
Child safety is not a product. There is no advertising anywhere in this toolkit and nothing here is a paid placement.
Nothing you type leaves your device
Nothing uploaded, no server copy, no analytics, and no third-party request of any kind — the fonts and the illustrations are all served from here. That holds if sign-in arrives: an account would carry your email and your licence, never your work.
